A longtime resident of Bakersfield, California, Alfonso was a proud and dedicated semi-truck driver. Although he woke up at all hours of the day and drove long distances, he never complained. He rarely took time off or called in sick, always working tirelessly to provide for his family.
Alfonso’s greatest love was his family. He is survived by his beloved children, Timothy Corona, Shyleen Corona, and Andrew Corona. His grandchildren were the light of his life—he laughed louder, smiled wider, and was a much gentler presence around his grandbabies.
Alfonso is also survived by his loving siblings: Anarosa Corona and her husband, David Chinchilla; Maria and her husband, Esequiel Martinez; Guadalupe Corona and her husband, Guillermo Sanchez; and Juan and his wife, Ana Lilia Corona. He will also be remembered by his extended family, who will forever cherish the kindness, warmth, and laughter he brought to every gathering.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Alfonso will remember him as a hardworking and generous man. His family will remember him as someone who would do anything to ensure his loved ones were cared for—even if it meant putting himself last. His absence will be deeply felt, and he will be immensely missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion have brought great comfort and strength.
