

Irma Evangelina Ramos de Garcia, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly on November 1, 2025, at the age of 85. A longtime resident of Santa Paula, California, Irma was born on August 24, 1940, in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, to her mother, Socorro Ramos.
Irma lived a life full of warmth, pride, and unwavering generosity. She was immensely proud of becoming a United States citizen and of securing a position working in archives, a milestones she celebrated with gratitude and joy.
Known for her ever-present smile, Irma radiated happiness and offered wise, heartfelt advice to all who sought her guidance. Her home was a welcoming place for everyone, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Irma was deeply giving, always placing the needs of others before her own.
A talented cook, Irma shared her love through her delicious tamales and home-cooked meals that brought family and friends together. She enjoyed dining at her favorite restaurants, IHOP and Tlaquepaque, where she spent many cherished moments. Irma also loved to travel, visiting destinations in Mexico like Tijuana, Cancún, and Veracruz. Bringing joy wherever she went, she loved to sing, filling every space with her voice and vibrant spirit.
Irma is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Socorro, and her brother, Ricardo Fernandez.
She is survived by her daughters Elda E. Ramos, Maria Isabel Ramos, and Irma J. Ramos, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Irma’s loving spirit, open heart, and joyful presence will be profoundly missed. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.
