Born on August 4, 1951, to Louie Garcia Sr. and Viola Garcia, Louie lived his life in Fillmore and Santa Paula, grounded in love, generosity, and strong family ties. He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Garcia Sr., and his sister, Frieda Garcia. One of seven siblings, he is survived by his brothers and sisters: Jacquelyn Lozano, Reginia Riberdy, Geno Garcia, Ted Garcia, and Patricia Hurtado.
Louie was a loving husband to Stella Garcia and a devoted father to his daughters, Merisa Garcia Arguelles and April Garcia—the true lights of his life and the definition of a proud “girl dad.” His joy grew with his grandchildren, Justine Marie Arguelles and Janelle Ranee Hamlin, and his great-grandchildren, Jameson Joe Hamlin and Miller Mae Hamlin, who brought him endless happiness.
He loved traveling, especially when it meant time with family—whether on cruises, bus trips, or simple day outings. He cherished adventures with his girls—creating memories filled with laughter, great food, and love.
Louie found peace outdoors, especially during his yearly Mammoth trips with the Trout Slayers, enjoying fishing, lifelong friendships, and good times. He loved the rincon, welcoming a constant flow of friends and family, always eager to share his beachfront spot and his generous spirit.
Known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone, Louie made lasting connections everywhere he went. He spent many years umpiring Little League alongside his best friend Ruben and built meaningful relationships with his many godchildren. His presence made people feel welcome, cared for, and at ease.
Louie Garcia Jr. will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on through the love he shared, the memories he created, and the family who carries him in their hearts.
