Dennis Gentry Tobin, age 78 passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Dennis was born February 5, 1944 in San Francisco, California and lived most of his life in Ross, California. He graduated from San Rafael Catholic School and continued his education abroad for Maritime Shipping in San Francisco, where he worked as a superintendent. Dennis also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He loved golfing and fishing and was a supporter of Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA. He showed his support by fostering many guide dogs from their San Rafael Stud Dog Department.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Bette Jo Tobin of Santa Rosa, CA; his daughter Lisa Anne Pricket of Petaluma, CA; his brothers Timothy Gentry Tobin of Santa Rosa, CA and Brian Gentry Tobin of Colorado; his granddaughter McCauley Anne Pricket of North Carolina; his nephew Shay Tobin of Colorado, his nephews Beau Tobin of Colorado and Ross Tobin of Colorado, as well as other nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his son John Gentry Tobin; his sister Janina Madge Neniec of Bolinas, CA and his brother Patrick Gentry Tobin of Nevada.
Dennis had a large extended family including a foster grandson, Aron Murry Swartz of San Francisco, CA who he spent many happy hours together as well as Patricia Anne Murry of Hawaii and Virginia Lyn Beele.
In Mr. Tobin's honor, donations may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind, located in San Rafael, CA.
