

She born into a family of ten in Roblin, Manitoba, Canada on April 12, 1934, and became an American citizen in 1988.
She was married to James Jones. They had been together for thirty-five years.
Rose worked as a country school teacher before moving onto new adventures as a flight attendant, a career in which she remained for thirty-seven years. Rose, an avid amateur tennis player, was also an owner of the Countryside Rackets Club.
She was a dedicated volunteer to various organizations that defended women’s issues and senior causes. Through the years she also dedicated her time to animal organizations including ‘Pick of the Litter’ and ‘Forgotten Felines’. Rose received much recognition for her extraordinary efforts and many State and County volunteer service awards over the years.
She is survived by her husband James Jones, her sisters Silvia, Ann and Mary of Canada, and Donelda of Wisconsin, her step-children Mary, David and Julia, eight step-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday May 16th, at Chapel of the Chimes, located at 2601 Santa Rosa Avenue, Santa Rosa.
