Alma Driver, a native of Holtamville, AL and a resident of Satsuma, AL for many years, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2018 at the age of 97. Ms. Alma retired from International Paper Company's bag mill on August 1, 1982 following over 30 years of service.
Ms. Alma demonstrated a steadfast faith in God. She was a lifetime Methodist and a faithful member of Creola United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was a wonderful inspiration to all who knew her and will be especially missed by her loving church family.
Ms. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Woodie and Mary Williams; and her brothers, Raymond Williams and Curtis Williams, Sr. Ms. Alma greatly enjoyed and was tremendously proud of five generations of her family. She is survived by two sons, Ed (Gail) Driver of Mobile, AL and Clifton (Judy) Driver of Satsuma, AL; four grandchildren, Jay (Marla) Driver, Denys (Lori) Driver, Joy (Doug) Smith and Chad Driver; four great-grandchildren, Logan Driver, Caleb Driver, Amy (Tanner) Presnall and Canaan Driver; two great-great grandsons, Jaxson Presnall and Casen Driver; two sisters, Maggie Williams of Saraland, AL and Ruby Huggins of Thomasville, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you is extended to Kindred Hospice and Ms. Alma's nurse, Jessie Odom, for the kind and compassionate treatment she received during her time in their care.
Pallbearers will be Jay Driver, Denys Driver, Chad Driver, Caleb Driver, Canaan Driver and Doug Smith.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL. A celebration of life service will follow officiated by The Reverend Denny McDavid.
