Mrs. Alma Parden Smith, of Creola, AL, entered into rest Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the age of seventy-two. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Creola Cemetery. Rev. Ellen Lesley and Rev. Otis Lister will officiate.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Joseph Franklin Smith, two daughters, Linda Smith (Robert) Wheat of Creola and Rhonda Smith Richards of Daphne, three grandchildren, Garrett Wheat, Ashley Wheat, and Dylan Richards, a sister, Pauline (Fred) Savell, and three brothers, Willie (Net) Parden, Paul (Nita) Parden, and Douglas (Loraine) Parden.
Mrs. Smith was retired from the Mobile County Public Schools as a bus driver after 25 years of service and also retired from Wal-Mart after 21 years of service.
Mrs. Smith was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and many friends.
