Annie Laurie Lane Murphy - a 96 year-old lifelong resident of Eight Mile, AL passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013. She was a member of Kushla-Bethany Baptist Church for 59 years and was an active member of the Kushla Garden Club and the Odds & Ends Sewing Club. Mrs. Murphy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Willie B. Murphy, and brother, Jesse Henry Lane. Mrs. Murphy is survived by two nieces, Martha LaneHancock and Terri Lane Havard (Danny); two grea-nieces, Jennifer Smith (Keith) and Ashlee Lomax (Ben); two great-nephews, Cody Havard and Cole Havard; three great, great-nephews, one great, great-niece, other relatives, and many friends. Funeral services will be held from Kushla-Bethany Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
