
He was a loving, special, and a quiet man of few words. He was a kind, gentle and a compassionate man. Mr. Robinson retired from International Paper after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bessie Robinson; son, Jimmy Cockran Robinson; granddaughter, Jessica Dianne Wright; six sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Ollie Y. Robinson; one son, Billy W. (Nancy) Robinson; one daughter, Dianne R. Wright; one brother, Delors C. (Mary) Robinson; three grandchildren, Weston Robinson, Melinda (Chuck) Edmonds and Melanie Wright; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Blaine Edmonds; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends including his numerous friends in the automotive industry. The family would like to give special thanks to all of the angels of Odyssey Hospice and to Bro. Tripplet for their special love and care. Thank you and God Bless you. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, October 19, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 10 a.m. from Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Robinson will lie in state at the church beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church.
