Charlene Rene Brooks Webber, age 68, passed away peacefully at Lynwood Nursing Home in Mobile, Alabama, on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Charlene was born on March 7, 1958, in Mobile, Alabama. She attended Satsuma High School in Satsuma, Alabama, and later earned her GED. Her longest career was as a legal secretary, though throughout her life she held many roles, including private investigator and small business owner. She was also once a member of the Order of Athena Mardi Gras organization in Mobile. Charlene was known for her gentle spirit, deep devotion to her family, and a quiet strength that carried her through life’s many challenges.
Later in life, Charlene’s late husband, Mark Webber, taught her how to play bass guitar so the two of them could perform together in their two-person band, Double Shot, playing in venues around Mobile and the Eastern Shore.
Charlene’s most recent role, before being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, was as a devoted stay-at-home wife, caring for her husband, Mark, during his battle with cancer.
Above all, Charlene was a deeply loving and fiercely protective mother to her only child, Maria Faulkner. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling, music, horses, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved and adored deeply. Charlene was also a devout member of Cleveland Road Church of God, where her faith and love for Jesus Christ were an important part of her life. She deeply valued the friendships and fellowship she shared with her church family.
Charlene is survived by her grateful daughter, Maria Faulkner (Vernon) of Satsuma, Alabama; step-daughter Michelle Webber Kelly (Matt) of Daphne, Alabama; grandchildren Victoria Bladorn Brandenburg of Saraland, Alabama, Tiffani Bladorn Pierce (Patrick) of Satsuma, Alabama, Ethan Bladorn of Saraland, Alabama, Aidan Faulkner of Satsuma, Alabama, Hunter Faulkner of Mobile, Alabama, Christian Faulkner of New Mexico, Bobby Jo Faulkner of Wilmer, Alabama, Daisy Faulkner Farver (Clay) of Lucedale, Mississippi, Loralee Faulkner of Wilmer, Alabama, Austin Faulkner of Wilmer, Alabama, and James Alan Moore of Foley, Alabama; great-grandchildren Landon, Aubree Claire, Kinsley, Parker, Brylee, Avery, and Conner.
She is also survived by her sister Tina Brooks Hinkle of Charleston, South Carolina; brother Jeffrey Brooks of Wilmer, Alabama; and her father Charles Brooks of Cottonwood, Alabama.
Charlene was a beloved Aunt Charlene to nieces Amy Stinson Street (Timmy), Shara Stinson Hanks (Chris), April Land Brooks, Jessie Charlene Brooks, and Jami Guy; and nephews Nick Brooks, Jeffrey Brooks, Christopher Brooks, and Justin Brooks, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Alan Webber of Robertsdale, Alabama; her mother, Charlotte Arlene Brooks of Cottonwood, Alabama; and her sister, Angela Stinson of Satsuma, Alabama.
Charlene will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her quiet strength, and the deep faith that carried her through every chapter of her life.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Lynwood Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Charlene during the last years of her illness, and especially in her final days. The family is also deeply grateful to Cleveland Road Church of God for their love, support, and generosity in hosting services and caring for the family during this time.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571, on March 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A second visitation will be held at Cleveland Road Church of God, 422 Cleveland Road, Saraland, Alabama 36571, on March 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
A committal service will take place at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, Alabama 36527, on March 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., where she will be laid to rest.
