Mr. David Alan Simmons, age 54, a native of Eight Mile, Alabama and a resident of Whistler, Alabama died on Friday, July 26, 2013. He was retired from Barnett Millworks. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Simmons, Sr. and brother, Robert “Sonny” Simmons. Mr. Simmons is survived by his two daughters, Amy Simmons, Tammy Simmons (Yancey) Toler; loving companion, Chandra Lanier; mother, Bettie Yarbrough Simmons; siblings, Gail (Ronald) Kelly, Beulah (Donnie) Callaway; sister-in-law, Becky Simmons; four grandchildren, Landon, Peyton, Alex, Brayden; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Wilson Annex of Whistler Cemetery.
