

Donald Edward McLeod, “Don”, “Peanut”, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was 81. He was born to William Edward McLeod and Thera Trodee McLeod on January 24, 1944. Don had a very outgoing character. He was fun-loving, gullible, and loved to laugh. He was very close to his mother and grandmother and always made his family a priority overall. Don served with the United States Coast Guard for four years and was a Pipe Welder with Local 119 for sixty years. He loved to tell stories of his life. Don loved the water. He loved fishing and gathering fresh spring water from Stockton, Alabama. He enjoyed having the whole family over for a fish fry. Don also liked to hunt, ride his motorcycle, and spend some time at the casino. He was a simple man but always knew his own mind. Don was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte Lee.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia A. McLeod; children, Debra Lynn LeDoux, Dorinda McLeod, Donald McLeod Jr., Kimberly Parker, and John LeDoux; two sisters, Debbie Robinson and Alesia Gatewood (Tommy); grandchildren: Tiffany LeAnne LeDoux, Andrea Flewellen, DJ McLeod, Holly McLeod, Shannon Vargas, Amanda Parker, Jonathan Devin McLeod, Jody Brooks, Kailyn LeDoux, Kennedy LeDoux, Kendall LeDoux; as well as great-grandsons, nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home- Saraland, located at 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571.
