Doris Mae Calhoun

Doris retired from USA Medical Center after 30 years of service. After retiring she dedicated her time to being a caregiver to the elderly. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She loved cruising, Mickey Mouse, Traveling, her church and Alabama Football.

She was preceded in death her husband, William Calhoun; a daughter, Francis Louise Peacock; grandson, Dylan Lee; and her parents, Douglas E. and Louise Peffer White.

Doris is survived by her loving and devoted son, Joseph R. (Suzanne) Peacock and a daughter, Kristal Peacock (Anthony) Lee; Grandchildren, Chris (Danielle) Peacock, James Peacock, Rosalea (Hunter) Browning, Brandon (Lindsay) Smith, Savannah (Elijah) Lee, Jacob Lee, Justin ( Katelyn) Lee, Madison (Jake) Lee, David Sheffield and Danielle (Mark) Bostick; Great Grandchildren, Paisley Middleton, Adalyn Lee, Dylan Marshall, Lydia Peacock, Nola Peacock, RJ Moore, Carson Peacock, Trevor Browning, Jayleigh Browning, Cruz Browning, Tylor Bostick, Jasmine Bostick and Helen Ivey Bostick; brothers, Harry E. (Libby) White and Doug E. (Paula) White also survived by her k9 companion Phoebe.

A visitation for Doris will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Creola Cemetery, Creola, AL.
