Doris Jean (Fields) McGilberry

Mrs. Doris Jean McGilberry, age 89, passed peacefully into heaven on Monday, April 30, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Douglas V. McGilberry and son, Glenn McGilberry (Debbie). Jean, as she was affectionately known, was a faithful, devoted Christian lady. She was a caregiver to all, especially for her oldest son during his lengthy illness. She was a devoted wife to her husband and a loving mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was a member of Redemption Church in Saraland. Jean is survived by her children; Sherril Downey (Butch), Randy McGilberry (Roxie) and Bradley McGilberry (Tina). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; Jarrod, Cliff, Seth, Britani, Payton, Marc, Lauren, Traci and sixteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m..
