Elvin "Buddy" George Boyington Jr.

He was born to Elvin Boyington and Marie Boyington on November 13, 1947 in Miami, Florida. Buddy enlisted in the US Navy in 1965. After his enlistment he came home and married the love of his life, Mary Sullivan. He then went to work for the City of Mobile Police Department for the next 35 years. He retired at 55 and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Ann Dubose.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years - Mary Boyington; sons, Jed (Stephanie) Boyington and Ronnie (Allison) Boyington; grandson - Noah Blake Boyington, also, survived by other relatives, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to one of Buddy’s favorite charities: The Wounded Warrior Foundation.

Visitation for Buddy will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home – Saraland. Chapel Service will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Noah Boyington, Todd Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, Brad Sullivan, Steve Stagner, Logan Stagner.
