Ethel Moss Mullinax Grimes

Ethel Moss Mullinax Grimes – an 84 year-old native of Chatom, AL and resident of Creola passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. She was a former bookkeeper at Sears and a longtime devoted member of Creola Assembly of God. Mrs. Grimes enjoyed working in her yard as well as flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Reed; parents, Walter and Carmen Moss; and brothers, Walter Moss, Jr., Earl Moss, Kenith Moss, and Sonny Moss. Mrs. Grimes is survived by her husband, John A. Grimes; grandson, Kevin Lesley (Leigh); great-grandchildren, Hayden Lesley, Hannah Lesley, Breck Lesley, and Corey Hutchinson; sister, Helen Corley (Bud); and sisters-in-law, Tonya Moss and Jo Moss. Funeral services will be held from Creola Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mike May and Rev. Ellen Lesley officiating. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, June 2, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Moss, David Moss, Stanley Moss, Russell Burnette, Gary McGee, and Tommy Johnson with the deacons and the members of the men's Sunday school class at Creola Assembly of God serving as honorary pallbearers.
