
Mrs. Flossie Elvear Innabnit (née Gardner) died peacefully on October 14, 2014, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama at the age of 88. Flossie is survived by 1 sister; Linda Looney. 5 Children; Sandra Faye Patterson, Gerald Dennis Patterson (Helen), Marshelle Mark Patterson (Marylyn), Mary Jane Pardue (James), Pete Patterson. 13 Grandchildren; Carolyn Abitz, Dennis Patterson (Jodie), Marshelle (Jason) McCree, Lesa Patterson, Sheila Patterson, Marc Patterson (Loretta), Sara Klein (Ryan), Angela Brooks (Kurt), Hope Nelson (Joseph), Toni Keebler, Amy Byan, Melissa Lynn, Tonya Barnet. Many Great Grandchildren including: Devon Abitz, David Abitz, Deanna Abitz, Zachary Patterson, Kayla McCree, Dylan McCree, Krista Schrom, Ayden Johnson, Marc Patterson, Bella Patterson, Lydia Lassiter, Maxx Klein, Sarah Obiol, Ashlyn Brooks, Micah Brooks, Kannon Nelson, Johnny Nelson, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild Connor Abitz. She is preceded in death by husband Rev. Johnny O. Innabnit and 3 Children; Ann Jean Keebler, Willis Kenneth Keebler, and Shannon Waynne Patterson.
Flossie was born on May 23, 1926, in McIntosh, Alabama to Isaac Elias and Valley Ann Gardner (née Weaver). She married several times. The longest being to Dennis Malcolm Patterson (20 years) and Rev. Johnny O. Innabnit from 1969 until his death in 2007. She lived in many places including Washington State, lower Alabama, and Florida. She wore many hats in this life. She was a homemaker, industrial sail maker, and seamstress just to name a few. She was very involved in the church when she was able, and greatly enjoyed singing there.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 17, 2014, at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland Al from 5pm-7pm. Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 2009 Firetower Rd. McIntosh, Al 36553. Pastor Ronnie Toomey will officiate the ceremony. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Flossie’s life. The family would like to thank Randall Shirah, Roy Soutullo, and Gail Gattis for their dedicated care and love.
