

Glenn Gerald Easley, 74, passed away on February 16, 2017. He was a life long resident of Chickasaw, Alabama. Gerald retired from Scott Paper Company after 30 + years of service. After enjoying several years of retirement, he was able to fulfill his love for travel in his venture as a long haul driver for Char-lo Hot Shot Service. He was able to travel all across the United States and Canada, often accompanied by his wife, Betty.
Gerald was a member of the local IBEW and served as a board member of New Horizons Credit Union in several capacities, with the most recent position of chairman. He served two terms as a council member for the City of Chickasaw; and was a member of the Chickasaw Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Chickasaw First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and served on several different committees.
Gerald was a member of the Holley Creek Hunting Club of Little River, Alabama, and he was an avid salt water and fresh water fisherman. His greatest joys included traveling with his wife, Betty; cookouts and gatherings with friends and family; and beach weekends with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerald was known for opening his heart and his home to everyone. His love for God was expressed through the genuine love he gave to others.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jo Robertson Easley, 4 children; Tim Easley, Randy (Tracey) Easley, Tammy Easley, Lynn Easley (Jeff) Gargus, 4 grandchildren; Cody (Claire) Easley, Makenzie Easley, Courtney Jones (Kyle) Altom, Bradley (Emmalee) Jones, 4 Great grandchildren; Kolt Altom, Kylie Altom, Grayson Altom and "Baby Jones", sister; Mary (John) McNorton, brother; Larry (Diane) Easley, brothers in law; Jimmy (Judy) Robertson, Tracy (Winnie) Robertson and Stevie (Marshay) Robertson, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethyl Mae (Glenn) Easley and his father, Apps Andrew Easley.
Viewing will be Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 5pm-8pm and Funeral service will be Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11 am at Radney's Funeral Home in Saraland, Alabama.
Pallbearers include: Cody Easley, Bradley Jones, Kyle Robertson, Kyle Altom, Brad Jones, and Tim Howell. Honorary pallbearers: Jimmy Robertson, Tracy Robertson, Stevie Robertson, and Kolt Altom.
