Gerald J. Guillot, Sr. – 98, born March 17, 1917, died August 13, 2015. He was a native of Plattenville, LA and resident of Chickasaw, AL for 73 years. Mr. Guillot was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Chickasaw and an employee of Scott Paper Co. for 31 years.
Mr. Guillot is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Edith Knotts Guillot; sons, Gerald J. Guillot, Jr. (Elizabeth) of St. Louis, MO and Robert Guillot (Gayle) of Poway, CA; daughter, Deborah Chase (John) of Navarre, FL; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery.
