Gladys Yvonne Varnadoe

Gladys, a very strong and devout Christian went to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday December 28, 2017. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Kathleen M. McHaney Booker and a son, William “Bill” Jack Mchaney,Jr. Three grandchildren, Michael Shane Butts, Andrea Carrie Butts and James David Brinson. Two great grandchildren, Karman Marie Barela and Barbrey Charline Barela. Two step-daughters, Sylvia Jean Varnadoe Watson and Lois Carol McHaney Powell, as well asmany step-grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by Vivian Clyde Criswell,Jr. and James William Chriswell, and sister Addie Ruth Criswell Walker, and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Carrie Mae Williams Criswell and Vivian C. Criswell, Sr. Her two husbands William Jack McHaney,Sr. and Eugene W. Varnadoe. Gladys lived in fulton until 1957, at which time she then moved to Mobile, Alabama. She then made her residence in Chickasaw, Alabama fornumerous years.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8;00 pm at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home chapel with Bro. John Granger and Bro. Leon Parrell officiating. Gladys will be laid to rest at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
