Hartzel Edward Lilly Jr.

Hartzel Edward Lilly, Jr. - a 65 year-old native of Beckley, WV and longtime resident of Satsuma passed away Monday, July 8, 2013. Mr. Lilly was the longtime owner and operator of Hartzel Lilly Boat Repair. His passions in life were boating and his dogs, Katie and Nikki. Mr. Lilly will always be remembered as a devoted husband, son, and brother who would help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Hartzel Edward Lilly, Sr. Mr. Lilly is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Roxanne Sheffield Lilly; mother, Dena Lilly; sister, Winona Lilly; great-aunt, Lydia Gilliam; mother-in-law, Carol Watson (Don); sisters-in-law, Vicki Welch and Lynette Schumann; brother-in-law, Buck Sheffield; three special friends whom he considered his daughters, Victoria Schumann, Allison Cartee, and Olivia Cook; numerous extended family members in Kentucky and many friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to best friend and hospice nurse, Debby Mosley Jackson for all of her care and support. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
