

James Pierce Counselman died peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, he was ninety one years old. A life well lived !! … but in the last few years he had been suffering with dementia. Mr. Counselman was preceded in death by his wife of sixty six years, Edith Marie Counselman, his daughter, Linda Dee Campbell (Jimmy) and a great- granddaughter Mollie Elisabeth Counselman. The loved ones he left behind are his son, Edward Pierce Counselman ( Pat), grandchildren; Deborah Campbell White (Buddy), James Martin Campbell, Jr., Patricia Anne Campbell Keith (Tony), Tammy Counselman Welk (Chris), Chadwick Pierce Counselman (Rachael), James Gregory Counselman (Nicole), six great-grandchildren; Stephen Sumerlin (Melanie), Jeffrey Keith, Emily Counselman, Olivia Counselman, Abigail Counselman and Grace Counselman. His faithful caregiver Lula Greene was with him daily meeting his needs. Mr. Counselman moved to Mobile from Coffeeville in 1942, he formed James Body Shop and worked there for several years. He and his son, Edward Counselman formed James Auto Parts in 1966 which later became All American Automotive … he worked there until his retirement in 1985. He will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
