James is survived by his wife of 21 years, Doreen Robinson; daughter, Eleanor (Ronnie) O'Rear; son, Michael (Paula) Robinson; step-daughter, Lesley (Edward) Doyle; step-son, Kevin (Jenney) Cowper; step-daughter, Sarah Lowery Piper; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
James was preceded in death by his first wife, Gina Gini Robinson; daughter, Carmen Longsdorf; parents, James William Robinson and Mellie Robinson; grandson, Lance O'Rear; great-granddaughter, Ann Robinson; and six brothers.
A visitation for James will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. A funeral service will occur Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hwy 29, Old Texas, Alabama 36425.
