Janelle was born in Houston, Texas to Art and Emily Peddy in the Fall of 1953. She had one brother, Arlie and two sisters Cyndie and Dava. Janelle and her siblings were affectionately known as “Oil Brats” as their dad worked in the oil industry. In high school, her family moved to Libya, Africa. At the time, there were no American High schools there, so she attended boarding school in Switzerland. Her junior year, she moved to Fairhope, Alabama where she graduated. After high school, she attended LSUNO then went on to Auburn University.
Janelle loved all animals, especially horses. Before graduating college, Janelle had her first daughter, Lisa Emma (son in love, Mike) who also shared her love of animals and horses. Her second born was a son, Eric (daughter in love, Jillian) followed by Dava (son in love, Johnny). She was married to Marty for over twenty years and was blessed to gain additional daughters, Shanna, Jessica and Tiffany. Janelle treasured her family, especially her grandchildren Tyler, Orion, Greta, Haley, Brayden, Leighton, Lively, Dylan, Lexi, Cameron, Anthony Jr., Shawn, Stuart, Michael and Bryson. Janelle was the best MawMaw who was sometimes called MawMaw Nell.
Her sense of humor brought joy to anyone around her. Janelle was always there for her friends and family, regardless of what was going on around her and her smile and hug made the worries of the world melt away. While we mourn her passing, we rejoice that she is with her Lord and King and reunited with her first born Lisa. Due to Covid 19, the family will have a private service and burial.
