We mourn the loss of our dear husband, father and grandfather Jerry Lamar Anderson Sr. who passed away on April 13, 2025, at William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette, Alabama. Jerry was a kind man who always had a smile on his face. He was a true inspiration to his family and friends, always willing to help and offer a listening ear. He was a man of strong faith, and his love of God was evident in everything he did. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and compassion.
Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, had a long career at Kimberly-Clarke in Mobile, Alabama, and worked with his son at Air Specialty after retirement. He was also a member of the Semmes Masonic Lodge. He was a devoted member of Haven Wood Baptist Church in Semmes, Alabama.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen Anderson; son Jerry Lamar Anderson Jr. (Stephanie); daughter Carmen Anderson Dearmon (Ricky); grandchildren Alexis Lyle (Andrew), Ally Anderson, Jacob Malone, Trista Davis (Dustin), Brandon Dearmon, and Ryan Dearmon; and great-grandchildren Riley Lyle, Henry Dearmon, Brantley Davis, and Kamden Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Pittla Anderson and Minnie Lorenne Anderson, and brothers Billy Anderson and Wayne Anderson.
The celebration of life will be held on April 18, 2025, from 12-2 pm with service to follow in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, Alabama. Interment will be held at Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Services will be performed by Bro. Ricky Watt
