Lessie G. Stringfellow – A lifelong resident of Whistler, AL died Friday, August 26, 2011 in a local hospital. She was a member of Whistler United Methodist Church and a graduate of Murphy High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Stringfellow; and daughter, Mary Jo Stringfellow. Survivors include two children, Lewis Stringfellow, III and Augusta Edmiston; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services and interment will be Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Annex of Whistler Cemetery.
