Maher “Sandra” Turner Ward was called to be with the Lord January 1, 2013. Born in Leakesville, Mississippi on 9/4/39 and longtime resident of Saraland, AL. A Murphy graduate, lifelong homemaker and a member of Lafitte Baptist Church, she was a dedicated mother and touched many lives along her journey. She will be remembered for her love of family and great sense of humor. She is survived by sons, Wes, Turner (Donna), Wade (Colette), Jay, Lance (Lynn); daughter, Jodi Ward; brother, Clovis Hill Turner; 9 grandchildren, Tucker, Madison, Kennedy, Kendall, Mary Coye, Pilar, Madeline, Cooper and Olin Ward. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from Lafitte Baptist Church. Graveside services and interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Sweetwater Cemetery, Leakesville, MS.
