Marilyn was the favorite sister, the favorite daughter. The favorite friend. She was everyone's favorite.  It is I'll be a bit darker without her light.. I will miss you until I see you again. I love you always and thank you for giving so much of yourself to me...

My Aunt “Mare Mare” as we called her. She was the only woman I was close to other than my mom growing up. It feels like we used to see each-other EVERYDAY. The light that extruded off of her is almost indescribable. When I think of her, I think of long beautiful sun kissed hair, tan skin with a few freckles, the most gorgeous smile and the most contagious laugh you’ve ever heard. I can still hear her accent calling me “ baby girl”. I’m sad I never went to visit her. I’m sad certain circumstances took her away from us, but I know she had a good life with her family and friends back home. She will forever and always be my favorite Aunt.

Marilyn and I were sisters at heart..
And oh how she loved my children..
She was a giver and never expected anything in return..
I can say without a doubt, she is my favorite human being..
I am going to miss her phone calls, her letters and her words of encouragement and wisdom...
I love you Marilyn...always in my heart..
