Mary "Connie" Donaldson

Mary Constance (Connie) Shaw Donaldson, 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9th surrounded by her family. Connie was born on July 16, 1949 in Mobile, Alabama, the daughter of Fred Theodore (Theo) Shaw, Jr. and Mayme Lee Gallagher Shaw who both preceded her in death. Connie grew up and lived in Chickasaw, Alabama and graduated from Bishop Toolen High School. Over the years, Connie had a special way of connecting with everyone she met and always enjoyed spending her time with family and friends near and far. One of her favorite past times was listening to the joyful sounds of her grandchildren playing nearby. She also really enjoyed a good Alabama football game and cheered on the Tide no matter her location. Connie was an active, faithful and lifelong parishioner of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Chickasaw. Connie never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. Connie is survived by her children, David Scott Donaldson (Teresa), Michael Shawn Donaldson (Jennifer), and Stacey Lynn Donaldson (Chad) Boutwell; grandchildren, Jonathan Bryson Mills, Joseph MacDaniel “Mac” Boutwell, Emily Paige Donaldson, Michael Connor Donaldson, and Olivia Brooke Boutwell; her sister Sandra (Sandi) Shaw Jackson (Bobby) and numerous other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Theola Shaw Wallace, Dorothy (Dot) Shaw Evans, Fred Theodore (Teddy) Shaw, III and Barbara (Bobbie) Shaw Sanchez. Visitation will be held on Monday February 13th, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with the Rosary Prayer Service begining at 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home- Saraland, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Connie on Tuesday February 14th, at 10:00 am, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Chickasaw, with Rev. William P. Saucier, Pastor presiding. Interment will follow in the family plot at Catholic Cemetery of Mobile.
