Mavis Lacy Mitchell – age 98, a native of Hackleburg, Alabama and longtime resident of Saraland since 1945, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023.

She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Saraland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Lacy and Jennie Bell Lacy, husband of 47 years, Leburn B. Mitchell, and daughter, Judy Reed.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie K. Mitchell (Theresa); four grandchildren, Christy Speights (Randy), Scott Mitchell (Tammy), Carla Roberson, and Carie Reed; numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
