Maxine Reed Chatom

Mrs. Maxine Reed Chatom, age 67, passed into eternity at home surrounded by loved ones in Satsuma, AL, on July 4, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. Born February 20, 1944, she was a native of McIntosh, AL. Survived in life by her brothers: R. B. Reed, and John Kenneth Reed; her children: Rodney Eugene Thompson, Joseph Leonard Chatom, Jeffrey Earl Chatom, Jennifer Maurice Chatom, Gilbert Jeffrey Allen Chatom, and Jennifer Lee Chatom; her grandchildren: Christopher Peavy, Rodney Eugene Thompson, Jr., Abby Thompson, Tristan Hunter Chatom, and Emily Thompson; and three great-grandchildren: Kevin Cruz Trehern, Katherine Kimber Noel Trehern, and Hunter Peavy; as well as a host of family and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents: John Henry Reed and Camellia Reed; her brother, Jack Rogers Reed; her daughter, Kasaundra Star Chatom; and her husband, Edgar Lee Chatom. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Hill Springs Assembly of God, McIntosh, AL. Mrs. Chatom will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Hill Springs Assembly of God Cemetery.
