Melvin B. Jordan, age 73, of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Sunday September 24, 2017 in Cypress, Texas. Melvin was born March 18, 1944 in Century, Florida to Edna Bell Jordan and Jesse Ben Jordan. A United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Jordan was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from Western Electric after 27 years of service. He was a loving husband and wonderful father and grandfather.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Deborah Jordan; son, Cliff Jordan; daughter, Melanie Jordan; step-daughter, Darla Wheeler; and step-son, Darin Wheeler; brother & sister-in-law Larry & Brenda Jordan; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild..
A visitation for Melvin will be held Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. A funeral service will occur Sunday, October 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Alabama.
