Rankin & Linda Barnes

Rankin Barnes, Jr. – a 54 year-old native of Mobile and resident of Bay Minette passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Mr. Barnes worked for Wesco Distributing for many years and was currently employed with Graybar Electric. He loved riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Linda Ann Barnes, and mother, Doris Jean Lancaster. He is survived by his children, Brandy Barnes Smith (Sandy) and Justin Blaine Barnes; grandchildren, Leighla Marie Kirchharr, Nellie Anne Smith, and Elijah Paul Smith; father, Rankin Barnes, Sr. (Dot); brothers, Mike Barnes (Teresa) and Ernie Morgan; sister, Pam O’Gwynn (George); other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 31, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
