Terry Grant Head

Terry Grant Head - 57, of Mobile, AL passed away Monday, July 1, 2013. Terry was born in Mobile, AL on October 2, 1955 and raised during his childhood in Prichard, AL. He attended Vigor High School. He was currently employed as Sales Manager for Macland Disposal Center, Inc. He has made a career in sales working closely with many contractors throughout the region and was an avid supporter of Associated General Contractors Alabama, Mobile section. He also had a passion for cooking and barbecuing which led him and his brother, Woodie, to start selling and distributing their famous Head Brothers BBQ sauce and seasoning. Terry was an avid golfer and was a passionate Alabama fan. He never met a stranger and never was seen without a smile and a laugh and always had a knack for making people smile and laugh.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Muriel Head; brothers Aubrie Hollingshead and Danny Head. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cynthia (Cindy) Sumrall Head; his daughter, Jessica Lauren Head; brothers, Toney (Connie) Hollingshead and Woodie (Barbara) Head; loving mother-in-law, Peggy Sumrall; sisters-in-law, Donna Todd Head, Phyllis (Harvey) Langham, and Anita (Deno) Morris; brother-in-law, John (Donna) Sumrall; numerous nieces and nephews and great friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 5th from 5-8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL, and the funeral service will be Saturday, July 6th at 10 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Spiller officiating. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry McLeod, Bill Cooksey, Randy Weaver, Trey Head, David Head, Harvey Langham, John Sumrall and Dutch Schroeder. Honorary pallbearers are Dave Parris, Bill Bailey, Dick Groh, Jim Bailey, Don Brugge, Bob Wilson, Bob Kenney, and Bob Groh.
