Travis Downing

Travis Downing - a native of Mobile, AL and resident of Wilmer, AL died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at home. He worked in dry wall, painting and sandblasting for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Downing; two brothers, William and Wiley Downing; three sisters, Jeanette Woods, Evelyn Duke and Joann Weir; one nephew, Bobby Hill. Survivors include his wife, Gladies Downing; five children, Sean Downing (Trish), Melissa Ali (Athar), Timbo Kountz (Dell), Kimberly Norris (Doug) Robin Coley (Patrick); nephew, Darrin Hill (Dawn); one brother, Robert Downing (Gail); one sister, Ruthie Hill (John D.); 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be Friday, July 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
