Vurlerine Frances Chambliss Dean – a 90 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile passed away in Gulfport, Mississippi on Sunday, February 14, 2016. She was a member of Fairview Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Dean loved her family and her animals, especially her pet Yorkie “Nemo.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Dean, and brother, Elvin Nowak. Mrs. Dean is survived by her children, Elizabeth Cutrer, John Chambliss, Sr. (Patricia), and Carolyn Connell; sister, Inez Elizabeth Dandridge; grandchildren, David Lewis (Julie), Wesley Lewis (Olga), Theresa Messer (Steve), John Chambliss, Jr., Rodney Connell, and Stephanie Connell; 11 great-grandchildren; 9 great, great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
