

Basil was an auto mechanic by trade. He loved working on cars and you could always catch him under the hood checking on someone’s car. Basil was a devout Greek Orthodox Christian. He was very involved in his beloved St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. He volunteered in the Glendi, a chanter, choir member and many other things. He was a committed member of the community.
Basil is survived by his wife of 55 years Aida, two sons the Rev. Fr. Gaby Gadah (Presv. Dorian Gadah) and George Gadah. His three grand children Basil, Tabitha and Simon. His seven brothers and sisters Mitri(Rose) Gadah of Sarasota, Nora (Mitri) Moussa of Venice, Leila Choueiri of Venice, Anthony (Sue) Gadah of Venice, Antionette (Mousa) Zabana of Mississauga, Canada, Elias (Samira) Gadah of Sarasota, and Dalal (Mitri) Fahel of Aman, Jordan. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents Jabra and Doxia Gadah.
Services will be held at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church located at 7671 N. Lockwood Ridge Road Sarasota, FL 34243. Viewing will be held on Friday February 4, 2022 at 9am followed by the funeral at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church.
