She attended Bowen High School in Chicago, IL and graduated in 1953.
Beverly worked for Dr. Lipner, an Optometrist in Hammond, Indiana and also Look Optical in Hammond. She worked at Cooper’s Truck Stop in McKenzie, Tennessee. She was a homemaker for most of her later years.
She enjoyed gardening, crafting and stamp collecting.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, William and Henrietta Lee; husband, Charles Cooper; and siblings, William Lee, Melvin Lee, Dorothy Panarella and Betty Summers.
She is survived by her children, Norman Philips (Sarah), Brenda Philips Wellman and Charles Cooper (Lisa); sister, Virginia Palaygi; grandchildren, Jeffrey Philips, Christopher Philips, Brian Philips, Edward Isbell, Wendy Spacek, David Spacek, Lacey Wellman, Joey Cooper, Mallory Cooper Dippy, Caroline Cooper Sadeq and Cadee Cooper; and great grandchildren, Olivia Philips, Oliver Philips, Evelynn Philips and Luke Philips.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue in Sarasota.
