

Carolyn Theresa Kulczak, 82, passed to eternal life on February 25, 2018 in Sarasota, Florida. Carolyn was born to Joseph and Helen (Dembowski) Janas, January of 1936 in Toledo, Ohio. In February of 1953, Carolyn married Ronald Kulczak and treasured 63 years of marriage.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, in December of 2016; and sister, Elaine (Al) Malak, in November of 2016.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Mark, of San Diego, California; Kevin, of University Park, Florida; sister, Patricia (Richard) McCavitt, of Sun City, California; sisters-in-law, Sharon Homier, Patricia Hendrix; nieces, Pamela Hibbs, Cathy Detzer and many close friends she considered family.
Carolyn retired after 30-years of service with Elder Beerman department stores. In retirement, she enjoyed cooking, baking and the occasional trips to a casino. Ron and Carol aslo enjoyed escaping Toledo by visiting their sons in California and Florida. Carol was in the process of relocating to Florida at the time of her death.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests donations made in her name to St. John’s Jesuit High School or a charity of your choice.
Funeral services are private. Inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio.
