Charles Griffiths, 84, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on September 17, 2025. He was born in Attleboro, MA, on April 8, 1941. Charles graduated from Foxboro High School and received a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University, as well as a Master's and Doctorate from Ohio State University in Engineering.
He was married to Hope Petersen on July 20, 1963. Charles had a successful career as a ceramic electrical engineer. He worked for GTE Sylvania before moving to Florida in 1987 to work for Hi-Stat. He also served as an adjunct professor at State College of Florida, where he taught chemistry.
Charles is survived by his three children, Richard Griffiths, Diane Griffiths, and Karen Walters, as well as six grandchildren.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather on October 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life starting at 2:30 PM at Robert Toale and Sons, 170 Honore Ave. A reception will follow from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM.
Attendees are encouraged to wear shirts or colors of his favorite teams: The Ohio State, Steelers, Red Sox, Celtics, and USF.
