Daniel H. Remchuk, 79, of Sarasota, died January 21, 2011. A native of Hornell, New York, Daniel came to Sarasota from West Palm Beach where he had been an Officer with the Boynton Beach Police Department. Daniel was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict having served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife: Ruth; one daughter: Cindy Shamp of Marango, Ohio; two sons: Joe Shamp and Danny Remchuk both of Sarasota; one brother: Steven Remchuk of Michigan; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Friday (1/28) at 6:00 P.M. in Palms-Robarts Funeral Chapel. Following cremation interment will be in Sarasota National Cemetery.
