Dorothy Jodonna "Donna" Fischer was born on September 11, 1933 in Fornfelt, Missouri to Thomas Jefferson Shoemate and Leona Augusta (Sweezy) Shoemate and currently residing in Sarasora, Florida passed away on January 24, 2013 after battling cancer for 14 years.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong love, husband Donald D. Fischer in 2011.
Donna is survived by her loving children, Teri Bredbenner, Dennis Fischer and wife Cathy, Jodi Henson and husband Robert; 15 adoring grandchildren, Jeannie, Michael, Jamie, Kelli, Caitlin, Cayla. Samantha, Mackenzie, Hollis, Josua, Haley, Benjamin, Jaxon, Evan and Ande; 3 great grandchildren, Jordan, Andrew and Rylie; and sisters and best friends, Jean Willett and Shirley Roark.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2013 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Hild officiating. Interment services will follow at 2:00pm at Sarasota National Cemetery.
