Edna was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Hugh and Eleanor Donlin. She graduated in 1975 from Methacton High School; and was a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Eleanor; and her sister, Monica Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Eckert; children, Diana Maloney (James), Matthew Eckert (Briana), and Lorien Eckert-Csonka (David); grandchildren, Julianne and Katherine Maloney, and Aubrey and Avelle Eckert-Csonka; siblings, Gloria Rivenburg, Mary Beth Hucker, Margaret Donaghey, and Eileen Strayline; and 26 nieces and nephews.
She was known for her fierce dedication to her family and friends, cooking her signature dishes for her family, celebrating life events and milestones, her epic nutcracker army displayed at Christmas, her love of travel, her infectious laugh and wicked sense of humor. Edna was a doting grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.

A graveside service for Edna will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 9:30 AM, Sarasota National Cemetery, State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
