He was born in Chicago, IL to Arthur R. and Frances Cabot (both deceased.) He received his B.S. degree from the University of Missouri and a Master’s degree from Loyola University. He served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines (1969-72).
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur R. and Frances Cabot. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Maggie; his brother Scott R. (Janet), Madison, WI; his brothers-in-law Rick (Patti) Albritton, Waverly, TN; Clark (Cindy) Albritton, Sarasota; Robert Albritton (Teri Gaster), Sarasota; Kevin Albritton, Sarasota, and Tom Albritton, Decatur, GA; nieces Angela (Bret) Albritton Sarasota and Colleen (Josh) Shurley, Fuquay-Varina, NC., and nephews Matt Albritton, Sarasota and Reid Albritton, Sarasota.
Ed was a renaissance man, world traveler, animal lover and a lover of classical music, opera and classic movies. He enjoyed cooking and fine dining. He was a life-long Cubs fan whose greatest satisfaction was to see them win the World Series. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors and the many people he met and interacted with in the course of his life.
