My  condolences to the family. I was taking care of Mr.  Edward Sokol in his NY home. It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Edward Sokol, he was a wonderful man and a loving person.  Keeping the family in pray.

As a man I live my life understanding part of the memories of my life are reflected in the kind of person my son becomes.  In that vein, having never met Mr. Sokol, I would like to extend my gratitude and respect for the wonderful daughter he raised.  Wendy is a wonderful human being, and a joy to know.  That is my honest reflection of Edward M Sokol.

During our short visit to the U.S., Uncle Ed was generous to welcome us to his humble home. Even though we only met once, it surely is a great pleasure to be with you even it’s only for a month. Despite the fact that we always went to different places, he always had time to be with us even for a short period of time. Hearing the news from our Aunt Myrna that Uncle Ed passed away, we were shocked because in our stay at the U.S., we knew that Uncle Ed was a good man and a loving husband to our Aunt Myrna. We are grateful that you played a big role in our lives but mostly our Aunt Myrna’s. Thank you and May your soul rest in peace. 
We will miss you!

For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son , that whosoever believes in Him , shall not perish but have eternal life 😇😇😇

Ed you will be missed a lot. I thank God we met through your wife  Myrna. May you Rest In Peace and perpetual light shine upon you.

Mr.  Sokol will live on in our memories.  I thank God that I had the privilege of meeting such a gentleman. I loved to hear him talk about the potato fields' finances and, of course, fishing.  He loved going To Cedar beach because they had live music and outdoor dining. He was all smiles when I got up to dance.

 We shared so many wonderful holidays together,  as a family.  He loved the holidays when the whole family got together.    He was one of a kind and God bless Myrna for marrying him.  She made sure he was happy and healthy and gave her all to take care of him.  There wasn't a day that would go buy that Myrna wouldn't put Uncle Ed first.  He was truly blessed to have Myrna by his side.

Gone but not forgotten...

When my family and I heard the news that Uncle Ed passed away already, we were shook.  It was because from time to time,  we would ask Aunt Myrna how she and her husband were doing and she would usually respond that the both of them were healthy and happy, and that was all that we needed to hear from her to know and confirm that everything was okay. However,  one day, Aunt Myrna recently updated us that Uncle Ed's condition was deteriorating and informed us about him until his  heartbreaking untimely death. Despite never having met him in person,  we learned from Aunt Myrna's stories that he was a loving husband to her and a generous man, which we are so thankful of him for. Thank you for being a major part of our lives Uncle Ed! May you rest in peace and watch over us from the heavens above.

I was so blessed to have met the Sokol family.  I have known them only 1 year but what joy that year brought me. Mr Sokol will be remembered for so many things...how he lit up when exercise involved dancing, how sweet and generous he was...always wanted me to sit down and eat something...his smile lit up a room....I will always remember him for his meticulous way of eating..slow and steady. And his love of sweets. I enjoyed my time with him and was impressed how he was quite strong for his age. Thank you all, especially Mrs Sokol for letting me into your home. Your love and caring of your husband is admirable and I hope I will have the patience and devotion I saw you show to Mr. Sokol.  To his daughters,  thank you for the chance to fall in love with another father figure.  The pictures you posted show the life of a wonderful man. I am sorry I only got to know him in the final chapters.  Take care of each other Wendy, Gail and Mrs Sokol....his 3 most precious lovely ladies. God bless you all. 

Ed was a dedicated coordinator of the Sto. Nino Prayer Group of Suffolk. He attended our novena every time he can and of course with the tender loving care and attention of his wife Myrna. He had welcomed our Sto. NINO numerous times in his lifetime. He will be missed.  We will pray for him and Myrna as well. May he rest in peace.

Hello Mina, it is with deepest condolences my husband Cleo, I and my family send this note of memory. We met you, your sister and her wonderful Husband Ed some time ago and we became such good friends. We had the pleasure of being at some good parties together over the years. We cherish the last party we attended for Ed’s 90th birthday. It was a lovely time had by all. We will missed him and the precious time we had.
