Elwilda Louise Williams was born in Grand Turk, Turks Islands, West Indies. She was one of three siblings including two brothers, Cecil and Nelson, both deceased, born to Lambert and Ann Seymour on March 16, 1933.
In 1949, Elwilda moved to Nassau Bahamas where she met Alfred C. Williams and both relocated to the United States. She graduated from Girls High in Brooklyn, N.Y.
In 1955, she married her late husband, Alfred C. Williams in Brooklyn, N.Y. where they later had three sons and one daughter who died at an early age. She has three surviving children: Gregory, Christopher, and Jason; and three grandchildren; Chakia, Jackson, and Sebastian.
Elwilda retired from AT&T in 1989 and moved to Sarasota with her late husband, Alfred in 1990. She was a dedicated wife and mother whose faith in God was unwavering to the very end. She was a parishioner at the Church of the Redeemer, where she was a member of the Altars Guild; Episcopal Church Workers; and St. Mary's Guild.
On March 3, 2023, she departed this life peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was truly an angel and will be missed by her family and friends.
