Florence Irene Poling

Florence was born in Chicago, Illinois to James Fitzpatrick and Mae Hogan on October 20, 1927. She married William G. Poling on February 14, 1953. Early in her life, Florence was a Bell Telephone switchboard operator and banking teller. Later in life, she was a full-time homemaker.

Florence was a member of Paradise Bay Mobile Home Park Ladies Card Club. She had a passion for cards, Bingo, Irish dancing, and living life to the fullest.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, James Fitzpatrick and Mae Hogan, and her husband, William G. Poling.

Florence is survived by her sons, William Harold Poling, James Michael Poling, and Kenneth Martin Poling, her daughter Nancy Louise Fibich; grandchildren, Linsey, Michelle, Jeffrey, Cynthia, Samantha, Stefanie, and Russell; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Quinn, Colten, Sterling, Scarlett, Faith, Avery, Charlotte, and Kyera.

A visitation for Florence will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.

The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A reception at the funeral home will be held after the entombment.
