
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Nov. 17, 1931 to parent's Max & Mary Silver and sister Shirley.
Helen graduated from Snyder High School and worked in New York City in the secretarial field. She met her husband Harold (Harry) and they married Nov. 16, 1952. She was a homemaker for many years raising three children.
They made the move to Florida in 1972, where Helen fell in love with Sarasota.
Over the years that followed together with Harold they owned several business, including Presidential "Sweet" on St. Armands, a deli style restaurant with the best ice cream sundaes made by Helen. Following that, they owned two Hallmark card stores, and later years Legal Process & Services.
Helen loved interior design and was the key creator for several custom built homes in the area, creating beautiful homesteads for the family.
As a younger woman, Helen was involved in organizations such as B'Nai Brith and Hadassah. She also enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends, and was even in a bowling league.
Her life was always centered around her family and she created a warm and loving home where everyone felt welcome and friends became family. Love knew no limits.
Helen leaves behind a beautiful legacy with her family of two children, Jeff Nydick (Maria), Lori Nydick Stanton (Mike), son Glen passed away in 1975.
Grandchildren, Jason Nydick (Missy), Greg Nydick, Megan Prue (Ryan), and Taylor Smith.
She was overjoyed to have six Great Grandchildren, Jason, Callie, Jaxon, Austin, Brooks, and Scottie Grace.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and called her family or friends.
