Irene was a big part of my life for some time. She was my home away from home for a few years as I helped babysit her young daughters, while she helped raise me and show me so many things. I am so sad at her passing but am so happy she was able to move to FL and be with her girls and grand babies. SO MUCH love to you all, especially Arielle and Katarina. It was always a pleasure to see Irene and Bentley most mornings on the trails at Hearon's Nest.  She always had a smile and a kind word to say each time we spoke.  Because of her happiness, we had no indication of illness.  It was about 4 to 5 weeks ago that we met again on the trail, both of us walking our companions.  She was so full of energy and laughter, she will always be in our hearts and thoughts. 

Irene, your going to be missed by so many. From Stock  employees and the men at the gates, were we first met.   I will miss your smile,  sending hugs to your family

Always smiling,  our across the street neighbor, and my birthday sister,  was ever friendly to us. Her and her lovely family moved away some years back, but Irene was never forgotten.  Through social media we kept in touch.  She will be missed until we meet again.  God bless your soul, Irene.  God bless your family.

I won’t ever forget the big holiday dinners on Henderson Road. The whole Farese, Gillies and Freidenrich families could fit in your house with the fire going and all of your quaint Holiday decorations. You were one of us and gave us those beautiful girls to love. Looking through all of the pictures of you through the years reminded me how truly beautiful you were.  Before you left I promised you that your girls would always have me to turn to and I will never let you down. Rest In Peace with Granny and Gramps and Joe

The most memorable vacation of my life was shared with Irene  in St. Lucia in the early 1990s. Your mom, dad, Aunt Patti and I roughed it in a very expensive cabin, with only three walls, bug and bat screens, no running water for a couple of days, and no electricity for a couple of days. We had to move goats and chickens off the road as we drove our rental jeep around the island with uninvited "guides" hanging off the back expecting tip money. We were under surveillance  by villagers the entire time. We splurged for Patti's 40th birthday dinner in a restaurant in the ghetto of Sofrie (which means and smells like sulfur ) eating I don't know what. Later, Jerry and Irene's bed collapsed and crashed under them waking us up in laughter. Everything that could possibly go wrong on that vacation did, except that we laughed hysterically throughout our adventure and had the most wonderful time on that beautiful island. Irene chose the island, the hotel , and loved every minute of it. We were so happy to share it with her. Irene was a very kind and loving spirit, and we loved her as part of our family. I had the privilege of working with Irene and my heart breaks for her beautiful family and friends who loved her.  She was a beautiful, soul! 

Seeing Irene light up talking about her family, it was evident how much she loved them and they were her world!  Also, I always thought Irene was a real life animal whisperer… she was always my go to when a critter came in the info center.  She was always so gentle and loving with them and any other furry friend she came in contact with!  
 
Loved her beautiful heart and sure going to miss her ❤️
 

I was very sad to hear of Irene’s passing. Far too young . I worked with Irene in Lakewood Ranch. She was a lovely person . She would light up when she  talked about her family .
