Lt. Colonel (Retired) Hart, James Edward Jr., 79, of Sarasota passed away peacefully Monday, December 22, 2014. He was born on November 28, 1935 in Cuba, New York to the late James Edward and Margaret Florence Prindle Hart. James was a retired United States Army Lieutenant Colonel. He served two tours in Vietnam, and was a pilot with the 82nd Airborne, 101st Air Assault and 1st Aviation Company and a U.S. Army Ranger. He enjoyed horses, fishing, riding his Harley and participated in the Harley Honor Rides. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jinna; sons, Sam Hart (Lisa) and Steve Hart (Tommy); daughter, Rhonda Currier (Ron); step-sons, Gregory Williams (Olivia ) and James Williams (Suzie); sister, Alice Hart; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many other family members and a circle of good friends.
